Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc has acquired through its Swedish subsidiary, Textron Sweden AB, Safeaero in Trelleborg AB, which develops and manufactures aviation vehicles in the premium segment to airports.
Textron manufactures airport equipment of various kinds, but also owns the aircraft brands Cessna and Hawker. The Textron Group had a turnover of around 13 billion dollars last year. It is in the Group’s “specialized vehicles” section, which Safeaero’s operations will be included. There are also the brands TUG, Douglas, Premier, which also focus on products in Ground Support Equipment.
Safeaero’s operations will continue to operate from its plant in Trelleborg.
